It's not everyday that you are invited to speak at pinnacle of the Australian Meat Industry Council's event calendar, the National Competition Weekend.

Held from 2-4 February 2023, the event brought together some of the best in the industry from across Australia, and on the Friday afternoon I was able to present to attendees on the benefits that social media can bring their businesses, which platforms to be on, how to identify great content, increasing engagement, and some other helpful tips.
I think my favourite part of the presentation was the preparation in the lead up, where I got to spend time reviewing the social media profiles, websites, and Google presences of butchers from around Australia. There are some really amazing things going on in the digital world with these businesses, and I was able to highlight a few throughout my presentation.

Not long after my presentation I got to 'meat' with Luke Leyson. Luke is a 1st generation butcher who started his own podcast during COVID called 'The Meat Up'.
